When the night lies softly sleeping
With the dawn yawning awake
And the light starts gently seeping
On the lady of the lake
Spare a thought for what she gave you,
For her love and her sacrifice
Even though she couldn't save you,
It was she who paid the price

Turn your thoughts of freedom
Out into the wind,
It's not so hard to remember
That summer morning
When she said she'd sinned.

6. Lady Of The Lake
(McGowan) Some fine guitar patterns here, with very capturing athmosphere. Towards the end everything just gets better and better. Without Davy I would have never start to use shakers in my recordings, now I can't live without them. Shakers are the glue for the songs many elements. -- Jore

Jore probably likes it at the end as it turns 'folky' there. I wish I knew what the hell this song is about. It sure sounds as if it's about something. I use shakers a lot - well it's actually just a glass jar full of hard peas! No expense is spared when I'm recording. --Davy
